GENERAL INFORMATION:

It’s my first visit! What do I need to know?
Welcome! We can’t wait to meet you! Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your FIRST VISIT so we can give you a full tour of the space, get you familiar with the studio(s) you’ll be in, and make sure you’re all set to get your sweat on! All you’ll need to bring is workout clothes, sneakers (or biking shoes if you have them), and a water bottle (we have a filtered water dispenser), and we’ll do the rest. If you forget something, we have merchandise and toiletry products in the locker rooms.

Do you have dedicated parking? Where do I enter?
The Shops at Kenilworth has free public parking. You can park anywhere around the mall and enter through our FRONT DOOR, located within the mall on the first floor below Trader Joe’s. We have a Key FOB entrance located under the parking deck at the north end of the mall. Please inquire at the front desk for key FOB eligibility terms.

How do I get a FOB for VIP access?
To get a key FOB for VIP access from our side entrance, stop by the front desk. Key FOBs are available for Studio and OpenGym members for a one-time deposit of $20 plus a monthly $5 fee. For Signature members key FOBs are complimentary after a one-time deposit of $20. To be environmentally responsible, we reuse our key FOBs! Return your key FOB at any time to receive a refund on your one-time deposit.

Is there an AGE requirement to belong to The Mine?
Yes, we welcome ALL members age 16 and over . No exceptions unless there is a specialty class or workshop for students or parent/child events.

Is there an AGE requirement to participate in Personal Training at The Mine?
Yes, we welcome ALL clients age 13 and over .

Can I leave my child under 16 in the LOUNGE while I work/train?
Children under 16 are not allowed to be left unattended in our LOUNGE for safety reasons.

Do you have a dress code?
We encourage you to wear respectable fitness attire. Athletic shoes are recommended when walking around the club.

Do you accept cash?
We are completely cashless!

How do I download The Mine Fitness App?
To download our app, go to the iOS or Android store on your device. Search ‘The Mine Fitness’ and you should see our app in the ‘Health & Fitness’ category. Download and login using the email corresponding with your account. If you have any issues, stop by our front desk for assistance.

What is your MEMBERSHIP cancellation policy?

If you are a member in a 12-month contract and wish to cancel your membership for any reason, an early termination fee will apply. The fee will vary based upon your current membership type. The cancellation fee is $300 for the Signature MPass and Studio MPass Memberships, and $150 for the Open GyMPass Membership.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes, you can freeze your membership for either non-medical or medical reasons. For non-medical freezes, we require a minimum freeze period of 1 month and a maximum of 6 consecutive months. During the term of the non-medical freeze, members will be billed ONE-THIRD (1/3) of their normal membership fee. If you would like to freeze your membership for any reason, please notify our management team or contact our front desk at least 10 days in advance. Please also allow time for your request to be approved by management.

What does a medical freeze entail?

To request a medical freeze, we require a written note from your doctor detailing the current medical issue. Once we receive this note, we are happy to put your membership on hold for the duration specified by your doctor. You will not be charged for the time that your membership is frozen. We are committed to supporting our members’ health and well-being and happy to work with you to find a solution that meets your needs.

 

STUDIO CLASS POLICIES:

Do I have to book online in advance, or can I just show up?
Booking online is recommended to secure a spot in class, but walk-ins are welcome, provided there are spots available in the class.

What time do I need to show up for class?
If it’s your first time trying a class, please arrive 15 minutes prior to meet your coach and make sure you’re all set up.

What’s your cancellation policy for classes?
You must cancel class at least 12 hours in advance for no fee. If you cancel within 12 hours, you will lose your class credit. No shows/late cancels will be charged a $25 fee.

If I arrive late, can I still take a class?
Out of respect and safety for your fellow classmates and coaches, classes start on time. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to your class start time, and will remain open for 5 minutes after the class starts. Once the studio doors close, any other latecomers will not be allowed in. We are firm with this policy because opening the studio door once it’s been closed disturbs the flow of the class and puts guests who are stationed next to the door as well as late-comers at risk of injury. Classes also begin with an introduction, including proper form and technique, that is required for a successful class. If you arrive late for your class, we would be happy to find a spot for you in the next class if available. Your studio time is a gift to yourself – make time for you!

YARD
YARD is a complete training experience for ALL levels. This bootcamp style training is both performance and functionality based. Get ready for endless variety and measurable results with high tech training gear and Technogym’s top of the line SKILLRUN, SKILLBIKE and SKILLROW equipment PLUS a complete set of functional training accessories. Training is designed to give you all the tools to live a stronger, more balanced life.

What do I need for a YARD Class?
Nothing but you and your running shoes! We encourage you to wear your Mine Heart Rate Monitor to track your fitness with our connected technology!

RIDE
RIDE+: RIDE+ is the unique combination of 35min HIIT on the bike, plus 25min full-body strength training. Perfect for people who want to burn calories, build muscle, add definition, increase endurance, and get fit-fast!

RIDE35 & RIDE45: RIDE35 & RIDE45 are rhythmic 35min or 45min HIIT cycle classes that combine music, visual effects, and data to create an interactive training that inspires you to move. Turn up your ride with RIDE35 or RIDE45!

What do I need in the RIDE+ studio?
If you have cycle shoes, please bring them to class, if not running shoes are just fine. Our Technogym bikes have SPD clips. We also encourage you to wear your Mine Heart Rate Monitor to track your fitness with our connected technology!

BARRE
BARRE is a perfect blend of agility, balance, strength and core. This class is thoughtfully designed to work every muscle in your body by using various props as well as just your body weight. Class format changes on a quarterly basis to keep it exciting!

What do I need in the BARRE Studio?
We recommend grippy socks, but some members will go barefoot. We sell grippy socks in our boutique, in case you forget!

YOGA
Power Vinyasa:
Our “Power Vinyasa” classes are heated and set in a 60min format. The fast-paced vinyasa-based classes are invigorating and challenging, but designed to be accessible for yogis of all-levels. Be ready to bring the heat!

YOGASculpt:
Our “YOGA Sculpt” classes are slightly heated and set in a 60min format. The classes are focused on building long and strong muscles by incorporating weights into the practice. This fusion of vinyasa flow and HIIT will make you sweaty and strong! If you are up for a challenge, this is the practice for you!

YOGA Foundations:
Our “Yoga Foundations” classes are warm and set in a 60min format. The classes are intentionally slower-paced, informative, and constructive. If you are just beginning your yoga practice or looking for a deeper understanding of safe alignment in postures, this is the practice for you!

Restorative YOGA:
Our “Restorative” classes are mildly heated and set to a 60min format. The classes are designed to give you more time in the asana poses to focus on the calming and restoration of your active body. If your life is very fast paced or strenuous this is the practice for you!

Yin & Yang:
Our “Yin & Yang” classes are mildly heated and set to a 60min format. The classes are designed to give you that perfect balance on and off the mat. This blend of power vinyasa and yin yoga will leave you feeling strong and refreshed. If you are looking for the perfect mind-body reset, this is the class for you!

Sunday Reset:
Our “Sunday Reset” classes are mildly heated and set to a 60min format. The classes are designed with the perfect blend of strength in power vinyasa and stretch with yin yoga. If you are looking to chase away a case of “Sunday Scaries”, this is the practice for you!

What do I need in the YOGA studio?
BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat). If you are just starting your practice, we have a few additional mats to borrow until you purchase your own. The studio will provide any props needed in each practice. You are welcome to bring your own hot yoga towel or blanket! We also have yoga mats for sale in our merch store.

FORM
FORM takes your fitness journey to a new level. Challenge yourself on the XFormer with a full-body workout designed to strengthen your core, amp your endurance, and build your balance for a stronger, more defined body.

What do I need for the FORM Studio?
You’re welcome to bring grippy/barre socks or take class barefoot. Bring a water bottle and yourself! We’ve got the rest.

I’m new to FORM. What do I need to know?
To set new clients up for success, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early for a quick tour of the Xformer, demo of common exercises, and discussion about any injuries and needed modifications.

Do you do privates, duets and triplets?
Yes we do! You can reserve any of our studios for a private one-on-one, duet or triplet with a coach of your choice! Contact Tamara Pitard ([email protected]) or simply ask the front desk to reserve today!

 

SERVICES AND FACILITIES:

Do you have showers? Do I need to bring my own towel?
We’ve got it all – showers, towel service, changing rooms, toiletries, hair dryers, and other bathroom accessories.

How do I sign up for IR Sauna/Massage Chairs?
You can do it ALL on the app! Go to ‘Schedule’ at the bottom of your screen > then on the TOP RIGHT click on ‘Recovery’ option to book a sauna session or massage chair. If there are no available slots for your desired time for the Sauna, you can repeat these steps with the other Sauna.

What should I wear in the Infrared Sauna?
You’re welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Common attire includes: swimwear, underwear, and athletic wear. Towels are provided.

Can I work from the club?
YES! We have a large community co-working table, private booths, and lounge space to take phone and video calls or work remotely. In this space, you are welcome to use your phone and computer. This is also where we offer education and workshops, plus complimentary coffee and tea!

What is your guest policy/guest fee?
We are happy to offer a FREE DAY pass if a guest is considering joining The Mine. Or, a guest can pay a drop-in fee for access to the Open Gym as well as a studio class.

What is your Open Gym? What does your Open Gym consist of?
Members can independently work out in our open gym using state-of-the-art Technogym equipment to create their own personalized workout routines. Our space is fully equipped with everything you need for a great workout, including cardio equipment with virtual coaches, free weights, and resistance machines. Our open gym is available to members during regular operating hours and is included in all membership packages. Whether you prefer structured classes or independent workouts, our fitness studio has something for everyone!

Do you have Personal Training?
Yes, we have the Best of Baltimore Personal Trainers that have a unique approach to training. We also offer small group training if you’d like to join with a friend or meet new friends!

What does your New Member Orientation consist of?

During the new member orientation, members will be introduced to our 2 apps, learn how to properly use equipment, discuss their health and exercise history, and use the InBody Analysis. A second visit will consist of a free personal training session from a certified personal trainer. What Is MyWellness App?

The Mywellness App by Technogym helps you to get the most out of our Technogym equipment at our club. The app allows you to connect with every single equipment by Bluetooth or QR Code. The equipment will automatically set up with your program and track results on your Mywellness account. Log your moves manually or sync with other apps such as Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, MapMyFitness, MyFitnessPal, Polar, RunKeeper, Strava, Swimtag, and Withings.

What is an InBody scan?

The InBody 570 is a bioelectrical impedance analysis of your total body composition. It breaks down where your body stores muscle, fat, and analyzes your total body water. It is painless and takes less than one minute! To experience the InBody 570, sign up for a New Member Orientation on our app or visit the front desk to purchase a 30-minute InBody Composition Assessment for $30.

What does FX PT Offer?

FX Physical Therapy is a specialized physical therapy clinic that provides one-on-one, hands-on treatment to their clients. The clinic has a team of experienced and knowledgeable physical therapists who work with their clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.

For members of The Mine, the treatment model used by FX Physical Therapy can be particularly beneficial. Whether you are recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, or simply looking to improve your overall health and wellness, the personalized care and targeted treatment can help you achieve your goals and get back to doing the things you love.

In addition to their one-on-one, hands-on treatment model, FX Physical Therapy offers free 15-minute injury and movement screens for all members of The Mine. These screens are designed to help identify imbalances or potential issues that could be contributing to pain or movement limitations. During the screen, a physical therapist will assess your range of motion, flexibility, strength, and overall movement patterns to identify any areas that may require further attention.

What does the LifeMed Suite offer?

LifeMed IV Wellness offers IV and Injectable Vitamin Therapy. IV’s can help improve day-to-day energy levels, revitalize the entire body, may alleviate symptoms, can improve hydration, can reduce stress, quicken recovery time, support better immunity, may improve poor sleep, can reduce moodiness, and help reduce migraine discomfort. LifeMed Wellness Suite is conveniently located at The Mine and offers a clean, professional wellness oasis for relaxation. Non-members are welcome to visit the Suite for services. All Mine members receive one free B12 vitamin injectable shot per month.

What is IV Recovery?

Recovery IV drip therapy includes a number of different components designed to support athletes during the recovery period. Fluids help rehydrate you, while vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids help improve your energy levels and repair any tissue damage.

We offer a 15% discount on the 12-month or month-to-month memberships for active and retired military personnel, firefighters, police officers, and ambulance personnel. We also offer a 3-month summer membership exclusively for students.
